A bit of a squeeze aswell then dude i hope you manage to sleep well and the weather calms by morning We are thinking of camping in whitby next week what site are you staying at dude?
Al, don't have the guy ropes too tight or it will snap the main joint! Khyam's are meant to sway lots in the wind, so just tap the pegs in hard or double peg each corner if you can. good luck!!
Hi everyone , we are back home now .the phones were knocked out overnight no mobile signal at all Really windy last night the khyam stayed up but is a little torn where it connected to the van We really thought it might collapse so all 4 of us slept in a 3/4 bed. The kids thought that was great When we got back to the site yesterday most of the campers had gone , so we connected the van to the sleeperdome pegged it well and went to the pub Here's the two remaining tents on our way to the pub We decided the tent might not last today and drove home The road to Pickering had just been snowploughed and reopened , really nice drive back Al
It's really weird being down in London with lovely Spring weather and talking to Steve back home in Yorkshire about 10cm of snow and gale force winds that have torn the daffodils up! Like a different world!
It's not so bad but it's definitely not home! I spend a lot of time walking (before work, during lunch, after work) - I look at the amazing architecture and enjoy tutting at the tourists! >
Me too but needs must! Looking forward to some windswept hills this weekend with some or all of my boys, depending on the weather.
