i used a smoke pellet on the heating today the sort i use for smoke testing flues and boilers etc . so with the engine and snail fan running i held the pellet up to the snail fan which drew the smoke into the heating pipework and show where it was leaking from ,there was some smoke from underneath but without my able bodied assistant to hold the pellet i couldnt quite see where the leak was ,sounds like a job for the weekend
