Sluggish

Hi All, fitted a Pertronix electronic ignition kit today and although the bus started first time she has become very sluggish and struggles to reach 50 mph. I very carefully marked the position of the distributor before I took it out. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

^this. You'll need to redo the ignition timing.

 

Cheers folks, I think I have a timing light somewhere. Think I read somewhere it needs to be 28 degrees BTDC at 2000 rpm?

 

28* is good, when the advance tops out, which may be 3000-3500. If you can't find your strobe, 7.5* timed statically with a lightbulb will be fine.
