    Hi
Any idea guys what causes this sort of slop in my shifter?..I’ve checked pretty much everything underneath all good and stiff..bushes and coupler replaced few years ago..I did not unbolt the shifter yet to check the pin tho..

    Cheers

Have you checked the small round rubber bush at the very front, in front of the gear stick ?

Do you mean that front shift rod bush?..that’d been replaced unless there’s something I’ve missed

When all else is fixed, the donut on the end of the hockeystick in the gearbox nosecone can be be worn.
That looks like the end of the shifter or the socket on the shift rod is worn .. or the spring is missing.

..there’s no slop in any parts of the gear mechanism underneath so I think you may be right about the socket..that eas my first guess too..will have a look into it this weekend so we see..

    Cheers
