Well the embarassing and painful saga of the idiot and the campervan finally draws to a close. Jubilation and an exhultation of bells and celebrations ring out. The streets are awash with jelly and ice cr.eam. Small grubby children are jumping with joy. I am, as you can probably tell, quite pleased. For new readers to the parable of 'The stupid man in a campervan' I respectfully direct you to peruse the following thread. http://thelatebay.com/index.php?topic=1123.msg12020#msg12020 For those of you who shared my suffering I present to you.........Skippy's New Hat..... Brand new mechanism, made by an engineering firm in Ramsey. New springs, made to order by an engineering firm in St Neots and a fantastic new fabric curtain made by Delilah (of this very site) in super quick time and at a seriously reasonable price. The glass fibre top has been renovated, professionally sprayed and new headlining fitted. I am glad I was insured because I spoke to the garage who carried out the work and the total bill to the insurers was £4,600.
i prefered the old one , the one with the red n white front spoiler stuck to the front Well done Bob ,looks the pooches jewels mate
Bob it looks the business and well done to Lizzie for making such a fantastic looking pop top canvas, it looks really impressive. Did you make it higher as well?
Ah good for you Bob and jan!! I bet you are thrilled to have Skippy back ...now get out there and brave the cold with a bit of camping!!
That looks good SB. I remember the numpty thread but don't remember damage pics? That's what I like. 8)
So shiny and crisp. Very sexy. Does it operate with the greatest of ease now, compared to the old one? All silent and light as a feather? No pictures of the inside? Has the Mrs. set your parole date to discuss if and when you will be allowed to drive it again? Hope she's not too strict. She might let you off a bit early if you install that warning buzzer.
