Pretty much did all the welding on my bus with this. Has since had a complete new torch setup, everything right back to the welder. Has been converted to run on full size gas and comes with the regulator. It's very easy to swap it back to small bottles or gas less....I wouldn't recommend gas less.

Comes with large spool of wire with some surface rust on it. I would cut this and run a few meters off the reel and run clean wire to the torch.

A very good first welder for anyone.

Good question, I'll have to have a look in my tool box. It did have one, but I've been running it on pub gas since the first disposable ran out. I'll post if I find it:thumbsup:

    Small bottles = give up.

  8. Yeah but was thinking initially until I got hold of a big bottle

Cut out the initial thing, it's like buying cheap cab door seals...

  10. So at the risk of asking a stupid question, where does one get hold of a big bottle? And please don't say a pub lol

Half size hobby weld bottles - no monthly charge, just buy outright and pay for refills - that's what I do. About £70 to get going then £45 a refil.

Cheapest new one I've found is £200, then you need to add the cost of the large regulator, hose and full size roll of wire. Probably another £40 to spend. The disposable bottle regulators are about £15.
