I’m here in Dougal, grass with hookup £21 a night at Silverstone Farm. We had a good day today, my mate Leigh came down here from Manchester and arrived at the same time as me, walking in from the campsite after a late breakfast. There are a couple of bays, including a pickup with about 40 miles on it outside the auction at the Wing. Also a splitty so low you could mow grass with it.
Ah cool , I’m not in my bay , but I’m camping in woodlands , seems ok so far probably the nicest campsite so far , we were here for the F1 and the Moto GP , £21 a night with hook up sounds a bargain Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Another good day today, Leigh picked me up at 10am outside the campsite, in his DB9. If anyone asks about it, I’m going to say that it’s an extra VIP pickup service that I booked with the circuit. Such things do exist, you see them all day at the F1, helicopters too that start to wake you up at the crack of dawn when you’re camping. I’ll post some pictures when I get back. They had old F1 and endurance cars out, plus my favourite, pre 65 GT cars. You get Minis harassing Mustangs and big Galaxies and Falcons, practically ramming them in the middle of a corner that they haven’t slowed down for. Of course the big Yanks, with huge V8 engines, pull away down the next straight, making a glorious row. I’m back on the campsite now, cold Peroni from the fridge. It’s quiet here, a lot went to see the Sugar Babes, but naah, not for me.
