Show us your flooring

  1. Hi guys I'm currently giving my interior a make over. I've recently bought a rusty lee bed that I want to fit and I may have to adjust the flooring height for it to fit flush. So I'm considering ripping up the floor having a look to see what condition the cargo floor is in,sort it if I need to and then fitting new flooring.
So show me some pics of your floors to maybe inspire me. This is what I currently have

  3. Two things I never understood-
What's wrong with the original carpeting? (or a good reproduction replacement)
And why does everybody default to either wood flooring or black & white checker tiles?
I put a layer of soundproofing under my original carpet. Then I found a brown rug that is slightly speckled to hide flecks of dirt. I cut it to fit and just laid it on top of the carpet.
The cheap rug looks good, protects the carpet from daily wear, and adds extra sound-proofing, insulation and padding so I can get around comfortably on my knees.
When I'm camping I pull the rug outside for people to wipe their shoes on.

i have the original carpet in very good condition but minutes after the dogs get in it's all hairy and if the grass is wet it then gets wet/whiffy so i cut a piece of wood effect lino to go over, perfect for brushing out and only a few pounds.

  5. i couldn't have carpet either it isn't very practical for over here as its always wet under foot at least with lino stuff its easy to wipe down e.t.c and with us having dogs too it would just be a nightmare...

  6. I import & distribute real wood flooring in all sorts of quantities for commercial and domestic applications. If anyone is ever looking for a wood floor it's worth a call to me. Or PM me. I won't put my number or company name as I'm not sure of the rules. Cheers!

  7. I have two white dogs and surprisingly, I've found these cheap old fashioned whisk brooms are far better and faster than any vacuum cleaner. No hair, twig or speck of sand can hold it's ground against one of these.

  10. I got the original carpet with a small door mat on it to wipe your feet on, I sweep it with a rubber brush made out of re-cycled tires. It works a treat. :)

  11. I fancied something a little different and practical so went for a Polysafe safety flooring which is non slip , anti fungal/ antisceptic etc......used in hospital /schools etc so hard wearing aswell.....and smells nice!!
It had to blend in with the vans interior ... so many greens it was a night mare so ended up going for a pale yellow..with graphite grey and black sparkles O0 ..looks a bit pale in pics butits just right.
