    Coming up one of the hills I had a car right up my arse and a queue of cars at a passing place. There was no way I was going to stop and try getting going again on a 1 in 6 hill!!!!

    yep, that happens a lot round here and that road is bad for it. years ago i had a similar struggle with that hill and that's what made me decide to get a bigger engine when the time came as i knew i'd be moving back to yorkshire at some point. still struggle at times but now i have a little more confidence in the latest engine :)

    Even worse in heavy rain when all the gravel gets washed down it too. Mine will get up it okay, it just takes time! The hill I like most goes up out through Langcliffe- that’s a bit mad that one!
    Seems like there’s a few of you local to the area then?

    I’ll have to post next time I’m up there. It’s a long way for me, about 300 miles, but have a lifelong friend with a farm near Settle so I like to go often as I can. Stunning countryside I never tire of.

    Great pics @Louey , i was staying with mi mum in Otley for a few days and managed to get a couple of drives `up t` dales` . I`d planned to bimble around to see a few people but ended up being the taxi as she`s struggling to walk with a knackered knee at the moment so much appreciate getting out - Gods own country :thumbsup:

    We do need to have a Yorkshire meet up. I almost opted to cycle around Middlesmoor yesterday but it was extra driving and I got reminded halfway round that I had to be back in Brum for a family gathering (that was a real bundle of fun).

    I hope mum gets a bit more mobile soon too

    We went up there for a bit of lunch , still bloody gorgeous , landlord still bonkers :thumbsup:
    (as approved by lord and lady @paulcalf )

    Let me know if you get up there and i`ll give you the heads up on the trail - failing that first chance i`ll get to be up North won`t be `til June :(
