Other sources comment that the cloud seeding had a minor effect on the storm that was forecast anyway to drop over a years rain in a day.

The negative publicity caused by storms like this is why most countries give up on cloud seeding .. it almost does not work, and if it happens to rain hard, fingers are pointed ..


It looks like the storm did a good job of exposing sketchy infrastructure and non existent disaster recovery planning.

It has always been a mystery to weather forecasters why such storms are not more common in the area, as conditions are even sometimes right for hurricanes in the Gulf. Some of those offshore manmade piles of sand with people living on them may not last ..

Another date night with my lovely wife

 

First it was shouldering railway tracks.

Then it was part of a heavy-duty bike shed floor in the asbestos lean-to that was here when we pitched up.

Then it was a step in the garden, which is when the rot set in.

Now it's going to be a whacky window sill .... maybe ... once I get it into two "L" sections.

So many tools on one job.
It s been like a County Council road gang

 

Been out tidy the edges in the garden a bit.

Can’t work out if this a weed or not! They’re in a border I used to just massacre to stubs, but this year that border is being planted and I don’t know whether to keep or kill!!



They have a nice texture so I’m inclined to keep, but my dad and the mother in law will waste no time in asking why I’ve kept the weeds if indeed I have!!
