Coming back down the old man of Coniston this afternoon.

We didn't quite make the summit as we would have run out on the car park ticket (got back on the dot!) but did go as far as the tarn

Yes, its a really nice restaurant, friendly people, great with a little phone coverage so you have to have conversations with real people...


On the train we arrived late, bought three tickets off the ticket inspector. Unfortunately the ticket machine printed two tickets and stopped, as we left mobile coverage...
She just wrote" plus one adult" on one of the printouts.
Apparently the last ticket appeared 5 mins after arrival at Swanage, she told us as she checked tickets on the return leg.. we were amongst the first customers to recieve tickets from that machine..

Methinks they are going to need trackside Wifi...
