  1. As I was not sure of the integrity of the water tank in the boat I decided to add a new one indoors. This was more problematic than I realised so I thought I would cut some of the boat floor out so that I could spot and water tank leaks. I’d already taken the panelling etc out at the end of the bed to add a new plastic tank. I’m now pondering whether to leave the space open for accessing shelving, or put it back to keep the bedroom ‘wall’ with shelves behind .

last night I slept on a princess and a pea double mattress as had to put the normal one on the sofa bed as there was no room any where else :)

  2. That's the problem now, the previous owners let it grow out of control, in behind window frames pushed past soffits into the attic, like a weird bleached triffid.

Soon after we moved in I peeled it off like a carpet, but it left climbing marks in the brickwork, so we have to cut it back regularly.

    I genuinely do hate it.

Is your original tank built in as part of the shell with a removable* plate at the top?
*Can be very much painted over.

  4. Hi @zedders , sadly no removable tank on top that’s visible :(. Defo not from externally and if there is internally it’s all boarded in.

    Usually under the front deck.

My first old boat had one with a PVC liner built in, no idea how they did that though, there was no way of getting to it and yet it hadn't been melted welding it in.

New one has a polycarbonate tank i moved from the back to the front.
Advice generally - put it near the front for overall boat balance, put it in the middle to avoid leaning one way full or the other empty.

Abandoning the tank and adding ANOTHER to a small boat sounds like madness to me. :)

Actually, it was a Colonels balls
He’s in his early 80’s, and has been unable to keep his balls under control for a number of months.
However, I tended to his balls this morning, and he’s so happy with the results, that he’s rang a Captain friend of his, as he also has some balls, which have got out of hand, too.

  15. Even at that age, it’s worth keeping your balls in good shape

  18. My new fave gadget. A light/mozzie killer from Go Outdoors. I thought it may not work but there were 20 dead mozzies on it after a night on the boat

Some friends of ours had a bug zapper in their tent. Unfortunately they left the tent flap open. The shriek when they went to bed was rather amusing - the light had attracted every flying thing in the campsite!
