    The pier between the old kitchen door and patio doors is coming out, and 1 big door is going across the back. That’s next weeks job I think!

    Thats the access road I drove the bus down , green rail on the fence is to stop cars going through the fence. The traffic light gives each direction about a minute to make it up or down the hill.

    Just FYI, my annual mooring and sailing club membership is £1100, a lift out and relaunch about £400, a can of antifouling paint £50. Insurance about £150. Racing sails £500-£1200 each.

    Yanmar Oil filter, fan belt , seals and other bits £70. Water pump spindle £110, Oil pipe £110.

    A marina berth round here about £3000 a year for this size boat.

    1979 built boat cost £6250 back in 1996, worth £0-£6000 now.

    And did you know that every boat featured in Howards Way either capsized or sank...
    The Flying Fish survived unscathed until a few years back when it was sunk in a collision but recovered. Barracuda hit a wreck off the Isle of Wight and sank.

    We arrived at the coast on holiday last night so I will spend the morning buying appropriate yacht-wear
