Been changing the glow plugs today and the flexible fuel hose, which I think was sweating diesel.

 

I had to buy one to see if it was true. But this is Hamble where food is priced in integer pounds. Except I paid for it by credit card so I cant remember how much it cost.


Something else to paint blue tomorrow.

 

Good news is I’ve had my 1st vaccine.
Bad news is I passed out in the waiting room after and smashed my head. Great fun.

Pity some heavy person used it as a leaning post at some time.

 

Its strange, it hurts a whole lot less than a lump of weld metal running down your sleeve and sitting in the crook of your elbow, but needles make me feel faint and welding just hurts.

 

I remember learning thermal runaway with one of those. Connected across a lead acid battery, no dont remember why, increased base current and suddenly the collector and emitter leads vanished in a flare of orange metal.

I think I saw an AF117 in my box of random transistors just now.

 

I didn’t feel a thing while they did it. I think it’s a bit of a physiological thing that I build it up in my head as being awful then my body just shuts down after.

I asked the nurse round our place what they did if folk passed out. She said "We just shove them under the hedge". That's a real professional
