Sheldon Roofs

  1. My Westy has a Sheldon Roof. Would this have been fitted by Westfalia or as a separate aftermarket fit? I tried searching it here, but couldn't find anything about it.

    Thank you!

  2. My first bus had a sheldon high top and a Devon interior. Sheldon were a UK based company and I think they could be a straight swap on most buses with a big enough aperture in the roof.

firstly - what makes you think your van is a westy? do you have any original paperwork or proof it was built that way? it's possible you have had a westy interior and parts added over the last 30 years and the roof is an addition also, i'm no expert but i thought westfalia only offered 2 roofs on the westy latebay front hinge on 72/3 and rear 74 on.

  4. Dont forget Westfalia also did tin tops so its not inconceivable that someone bought a tintop then had poptop fitted by a different firm, or even that Sheldon bought already converted tintops and only added the roof.

  5. My dad had a sheldon high top fitted on a t25 back in the early 90s. They were a Birmingham company. Pretty good. If you goggle sheldon high top co you can still get a phone number for them!
