Dominic Chinea has a great YouTube channel, features quite a variety plus the development he's been doing getting the Ranalagh Wheels into market.
Funnily enough ive just watched his latest episode where he makes a panel for the porche . Over the months though ive lost interest in his episodes , he is doing too many thing that involves too much talking and not enough hands on showing us how to do it so we can learn from them , sadly the episodes seem to be edited very much like the tv show he comes from . I find ed china to be exactly the same , all talk and no substance . The best hands on shows in my opinion are a few years old now the lad , ex vet Mark something or other with his build a plane build a chopper build a helicopter etc etc
He does a program with Allen Millyard - now he really is a clever bloke - check out the mountain bike he built his son, the engine he built himself etc....
Henry is the grandson of Gladstone the PM. Got him into Eton He makes nowt from the tat, he's lost £££££ on bike restos, Hes a long term tv producer, most of the sets are on his land, his programmes make the £££££
And Ireland.. He was in the front line of the action around the world, because he was off his head on heroin His book is worth a read..
Im know what you are saying, a couple of other non cat related channels have gone similar & talking has overcome the adventure. Maybe they have been forced down that road by YouTube?
I regularly watch 'Find it, Fix it, Flog it' and 'Shed and Buried' and I initially didn't mind Henry Cole. However as time has passed I've grown to have some distain for Mr Cole, but have lots of time for Sam Lovegrove, Allen Millyard, Guy Willison. But for me it's the same with 'Wheeler Dealers' in relation to Mike Brewer and Ed China (Ed's 'YouTube' Chanel started out great, but has become just rehashed repeats) and it's the same with 'Car SOS' with Tim Shaw and Fuzz Townsend. Heck I even find Wayne Carini irritating now.
I haven’t watched it for ages, it seems to on less frequently or I’m not sitting down at the right time!
On the old find it fix it flog loved seeing the face of Henry coles mate when he brought home a bookcase or furniture.. I'm not sitting down at the right time either Sent from my ART-L29 using Tapatalk
There seems to be a pattern in these types of programs where you have the likeable mechanic type and the anoying sales/parts blagging ??/semi celebrity one
A chapter from Henry's book, It when he was suspended from Eton for growing weed, I cant post the comments from his father when he got home..
New series of Shed and Buried and The Motorbike Show on now. I like both shows. He always restores a bike through the series on the motorbike show.
Think you'll find he has employed 'friends' to do that for him , to say he's been around motorcycles most of his privileged life he really hasn't got a clue , even riding them he just looks silly trying to hang off them at 40mph ... That said , it's a restoration / bike show so he's tolerated as I do find his sidekicks make a bearable show occasionally very good with their skill and knowledge. Funniest clip was Alan Millyard crashing that uncle Bunt chop into a wood pile at walking pace Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
