Serial Kombi and import charges

  1. Yep, I’d agree. If you run a company, you know what’s coming down the line, and it’s your job to manage it. That’s what you’re paid for. If it’s going t1ts up… who’s fault is that? You’re not doing your job.

The whole Brexit thing has become a kind of religion. I voted Remain, but if there was another vote tomorrow I’d vote the opposite. Smug Remainers are becoming almost as irritating as hardcore vegans. It’s just an opportunity to virtue-signal, nothing else.

Punching them is the only remedy, I’m afraid. Harsh, but these things need to be done.

  2. I never had you down as the violent type. I thought you destroyed people of your cutting wit and sarcasm.

Now @Suss on the other hand…….,

  5. Come on, not all vegetarian food is bad, I can highly recommend Sainsburys butternut squash and lentil lasagne, with added pork and beef :) https://www.worcesternews.co.uk/new...randed-disgrace-recall-popular-vegan-product/

..what gets me thinking is there some companies within the EU (csp or bus ok lately not sure tho) who are not even bothered or stopped to ship their stuff over to the UK..pretty sure there’s actually quite lot of them now..are they all really do so well to not bother?..I mean in these days the market is really competetive and I always thought they should care and look after every single customer no matter where ever they from?..it proofs I was wrong tho..

  7. I imagine that they're suffering staff and/or parts shortages due to Covid so it makes sense to concentrate on sales with less admin needed.

It is a bit of a lottery depending on who handles the clearance at the other end. We’ve had some stuff go straight through, and some agents wanting us to jump through hoops.

Exactly , expect paperwork and duty and if you don’t it’s a bonus, don’t expect to dodge and complain when ya can’t ;)

We’re sending £m machines, there’s no avoiding the duty! They don’t understand the new requirements any more than us though so it’s complete luck of the draw how simple it is. The last one I sent cost the customer 2 weeks storage in the customs facility. Glad I sent it DAP!

That's good, maybe it's better now but for a while it was awful ...filling out declarations for origins of materials blah blah. Very time consuming trying to find good carriage prices. The couriers didn't want to know for the first three to four months this year, understandably. I've just ordered from Germany, very straight forward, taxes were inclusive of the retailer's price so that was good. Maybe we'll take another look
