Seats for my 1979 Devon

  1. Hello,

i am hoping to put in a swivel seat base into my 1979 RHD bus but have the passenger seat type that clips in. So I am now looking for a pair of matching seats (or even just one front seat on runners that I can recover). Anyone got any knocking around that they need shot of....? Don't mind if they need recovering or what condition they are in. Head rests would be nice too but I'm not that fussy.....

    Thanks....

  2. this was discussed on here recently - if you want a seat with runners so that you can actually use them you'll also need the runners off the chassis. You're then looking at a lot of expense for chassis cuts, welding etc. If your passenger seat is in good condition and matches the drivers seat then another option is to have a brace/frame welded into the back of your passenger seat and just have the back of it trimmed
    :)

  3. Hey. That was the original idea - to weld the pax seat so it's safe then fix it to the swivel base - however that was discounted as I would like to get hold of new seats at some point so want to retain the integrity of the old seat and swivel base (if I need to sell old seats to fund new seats!). But the idea of a frame is good - thanks
