Hello well i have been REALLY lazy, and since the crash i havnt re-made my camper thread. And havnt really done much to my camper :/ Anyway heres where i start. This is my camper and how i got him. He is a 1976 danbury and was given to me by my uncle. It was garaged up for about 10-12 years after having a bump and he wasnt really interested in it and let me have it for my 18th. This is what i seen, once the doors were opened once we maaged to get it out of the garage, To the workshop! they see me rollin... a bit of a face lift kinda didnt get any pictures for a while, had all the engine rebuit. Getting ready for paint. Painted towed home, the blue caps where only temp. Then i started the interior, it was only temp for the summer. i was very skint Also made the error of not getting the inside sprayed : Went some some T2d loving, with the 1 day lowering with the slamtember. I had all the extras. Before after, not a huge dropp but its want i wanted and it drives 10000 times better. smile Thats all the photos for now, but to day i have stripped it all and its getting painted the weekend and i found a bit of rust by the drives seat, witch is going to be all cut out. Will be getting a few more updates soon.
Little update, got a few bits to fit over easter, door seals ect. Just fitted my new washer jets, nice easy 5 min job for a change
Okay need really slow with this. Jobs I have done: New seals passenger window. New rebuilt carb New exhaust New doors seals New engine bay seal Rear door seal To-do. Ordered a new loom to fit. Refurbish dash Interior work Will try and get some photos. Loom came today, went with the split charge too. Looks a good bit of kit really.
Cheers Today i cleaned out the speedo and clocks. I have also started modding my old fuse box, hoping to use it as a housing for my new fuse box Have also cleaned out the speeds glass ect. Also sprayed the surround, will get some photos when its dryed and all back together. I have also ordered new LED bulbs 8) okay, my surround is dryed and put all back together. Really happy with the end result. I used black plasti dip, its a plastic spray. Im going to be spraying my dash on the weekend, i will take a few before and after. The bonus is i dont need to prep before i spray http://www.plastidip.co.uk/eStore/index.cfm?Plastidip_Aerosol_Spray_-_400ml&stage=3&colour=Black,Blue,Clear,Yellow,White,Red,Green,jaffa,Brown&pid=PDL-0009 Here is a close up. The rust on the clusters was really annoying me. so sanded down and reprayed, i think it looks a lot better.
