Hi, Going to be fitting my door panels soon and am wondering how to fit them; the traditional clip and bung or the screw and cup method, (ie screw with a bit of a washer on the outside). Quite like the idea of the screw as if I get some nice ones it could be a feature on the doors. Any thoughts? If anyone has done the screw and cup method can they post some pics? Also, where did you get them from and what size are they as I assume any hardware shop will have some.
I bought these to do ours, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/220987821494?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649 They're not that noticeable when used with a pattern material like ours...
Buy expensive cups as they have a back on them that prevents then cutting holes into the material, an upholstery or habidashery shop will have them
For the panels I've just made I just used black plastic cup things with a pop on lid. Best photo showing then I can find is: They are visible, but are very neat. I got hundreds of these for not very much on eBay!
Only place I know off is in Chichester CJH fabrics maybe, could also try porches yet trimmers near the top of the eastern road
I just bought the pack in the eBay link & drilled through with the right sized drill bit, just make sure you have got a few bits for when they break
Yeah, and then google 'Jimmy Saville is innocent' and wait for your wife to wonder what the hell she married...
