just got home from helping out a friend, they wanted their daughter and 2 of her friends taking to their prom in a vw so i did for petrol tokens i got to their house and there were 20ish people there, 3 sets of parents, grannies, aunts etc etc the girls had loads of photos taken with the bus and then it was time to go. i turned the key and, yep, you guessed it, it wouldnt start. it was just turning over and over but wouldnt fire. i could of died i was so embarrassed :-[ :-[ the worst part is that it has never failed to start before so i was a bit annoyed too. eventually she chugged rather than purred to life and we were off. we got to the venue with no further incident, up the sweeping drive to the grass roundabout at the door to the country house. there were hundreds of people lining the drive all taking pics of their classmates and friends arriving. there was no way i was going to switch the engine off at the drop off point! mission accomplished i headed off home. rang home to get the garage door opened (it only opens from inside) but there was no answer. i had no choice but to switch it off and walk round to the front of the house to go through and open the garage. turned the key and it started on the first crank! i have put it down to a bit of stage fright, but i have forgiven her now
Been there! I got asked at the last minute to do a friends wedding. I left the bus running all through the photo session. Surprised no one keeled over from the fumes! Lol
