Anyone got an old one they don't use? maybe you upgraded or use an iphone app? i use maps more often than not but could do with a satnav for "the last 5 miles" happy to be recommended one on e-bay etc - not fussed on all singing and dancing - cheapy cheap is fine.
Ricky, I haven't got one to sell but can offer my opinion. I did have a tomtom and thought it was good. I now have a garmin but I don't like it as much. It seem to want to take me on the more minor roads.
Got one I was thinking of ebaying - £25 posted ?? Nowt flash but does the job... If you need a pic or two just pm me your address .
As i have found out buying one for my father the newish cheaper Tom Toms dont have as many options route wise, just the quickest, i like having the avoid motorway, shortest etc Do you have a smart phone if so Navfree is quite good
don't want to use phone, only have 250mb data as i use wifi at home and work so don't need it on the phone would prefer a stand alone one have e-mailed lasty.
FWIW, satnav shouldn't be using your data just to navigate. It may do if you go into new areas and it needs to download maps, but most apps you can pre-load maps and the GPS (which is not counted as data) controls the showing where you are side of it That said, I have a smart phone, and still have a supplementary satnav as I prefer it. Like Lofty I used to have a TomTom, but my ex left took it with him when we split, so as an update I bought a Garmin, and although the Garmin is good, and updates the route/reroutes far quicker, I do still prefer how the TomTom worked.
hey @rickyrooo1 i just bought a tom tom one, on ebay. they go [bin]for around £30 .. it beats my LG one by miles , which is around 6 yrs old and struggled with postcodes and was a pig to set as the numbers were on one page and the letters on another
Rick I might have one you can have, just need to be sure there is a charger. It's a tomtom. Yours for postage, though you may need to get a charging cable. Pm me if interested.
