Yep - tore mine once playing football. in goals diving for the ball. Had no idea what I had done. As long as you don’t move - you’re good
It's a sod. For me using walking poles sorts it out. Had been seeing an osteopath for about 3 months, no real progress, then went backpacking for a weekend. Ta daa, fixed, full range of movement, not a twinge. From that I came up with an alternative, fix a resistance band to a door handle and go through the same movements as using the poles. Nearly as good. Heal well.
I go Nordic Walking twice a week already. Only a couple of miles though, mostly old people in our group. When I’m laying awake at night, it’s either arthritis or bone cancer .
I remember it hurt but it was more due to movement. I had zilch movement vertically in my left arm. Was driving my hot bettle at the time. Got in and placed my hand on the gearshift till I got out. Could move in the horizontal plane to change gear no problem, but try and move up - then the pain. Down was easy - gravity
Reckon that I got mine from trying to reach high shelves at work. Could also have been from lifting 20kg coal bags onto my shoulder. My left shoulder was the worse and luckily I was able to have keyhole surgery within six months. It has settled down nicely now thankfully to physio and good aftercare. Happened about 4 years ago and treatment was a godsend. Agreed sleeping at night was very difficult, I could never get comfortable.
I sleep sitting up on the sofa when mines playing up. Not ideal but can manage four or five hours. I find CBD oil is good too.
Access CBD, thirty notes, lasts me six weeks to 2 months. That's if I'm using 3 times a day consistently. Nowadays it's for the odd flare up. I take tumeric capsules regularly too. That seems to help with the chronic, whereas the CBD is more for the acute , if you get my drift.
They do a berry flavour and gummy bears. I'm not bothered with the natural flavour but Mrs P can't stand it.
