Over the next few months I will be replacing the canvas. At the moment the roof has no lining and I have a loose suspended lining which is removable and works well to reduce condensation drips. I am thinking of gluing a permanent lining in place which will need to be a bit stretchy to follow the mouldings. Has anybody done this and what did you use? Or should I leave well alone? Thanks

You could buy replacement bars and a lining to do the job properly!

I’m presuming you meant the cab area?

No, I meant the underside of the pop up roof , where the push up handle is , sorry if not clear.

I did it with strechy car carpet and bostick. Easy and works a treat.

When youve spreadthe glue all over both roof and carpet, cover carpet lightly with newspaper and work calmly taki g off paper before sticking... This saves it sticking to anything.

  10. It does help if the roof is on the floor and you can lay the carpet onto the surface.

Try doing it in situ, inside a panel van. Upside down, on your own !

  11. Got it done eventually, but the side walls were easy compared to the roof. The spray adhesive is far easier than using any other method.
