Road Toolkit Groupbuy

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by GingersVW, Apr 22, 2012.

  1. We're thinking of doing a group buy for all the tools you're likely to need on the road. It's not going to be cheap because of the amount of tools required and we wont supply crap.

It's likely to be around the £100 mark which I know is quite a lot for something that doesn't make your bus look nicer or drive better :), but well worth it.

    It would contain:
    • all the combination spanners and sockets you will need between 7mm and 30mm.
    • all the sockets you will need between 7mm and 30mm.
    • ratchet and extensions to suit above.
    • pliers
    • needle nose pliers
    • side cutter pliers
    • medium hammerallen key setfeeler gauges3 flat head screw drivers3 cross head screw drivers2 adjustable spannersspark plug socketa toolbox to hold it all
    What do you think? Interested?

haha lowie, it's a good idea for those with few tools, i've already got shed loads of tools, my problem is trying not to add more to the set i carry in the van, what would be good is having a list of spanners needed rather than the full set gingers are thinking of supplying, 30mm? for what? although last week i had to borrow a 27mm for the ball joints - now that is an odd size.

  12. Not for me thanks but its a great idea...Ive got all the tools i'll need in an ammo box which hardly takes up a lot of space and its surprising what you can get in it... ;)

  15. Great idea .

We all have tools to some degree, but a purpose tool box ( retro style) would be one to keep in the van at all times.

    :)

  16. tempted, tho i have most tools at work its a faf bringing em home to work on the van, it really depends on the make of the tools.

  17. I'd buy it.

  18. Sorry, got loads of tools already and stuff to put them in.

  19. I've got loads of tools in the shed and for work so I would not buy it plus a cheap set would be fine for in the van .
