they started salting the roads round by us so might be a good idea to cover your bus in grease for the next 5 months.... WET SALTY ROADS + OLD VWS = RUSTY BITS AND FURRY ALLOY...DOH....
the gritters where out near me about 2 week's ago! only been out once that i have seen though luckily!
oh great, heading into work with Major tomorrow - have they done the A6 up to Darley Dale (they dont tend to as Dales Council usually scrimp on it)
my van hasn't moved since oct 6 hopefully i'll avoid all salt until nov 30 when the tax is out, that said as long as you hose it off all over and underneath it won't hurt.
all of the chassis, wheelarches, inner chassis and all of the apertures have been dinitrol treated, I'm not worried about that, didnt want to work out in the cold
i ain't got a bean of protection on mine, just never been outside in the salt goes into a nice big warehouse soon for a 4 month rest.
I have been using my as my daily and will be using up until i have to start scraping the windscreen! :shiver:
hardy ha! and no but it does peel off in the rain after a while! plus i cannot afford to get my polo back on the road yet!
yes Mate, they done the A6 past Sainsburys and heading up to Darley.. Bless the hardcore Bus crew keeping it going through winter. ;D..fair play
i'll have you know i put £61 in it on oct 8 and am still on the same tank! i done 251 miles so far and i got just under 1/4 left, that's my best yet - possibly around 28mpg that is..
