I suppose not many of you will remember him but I’ve just heard of the passing of Tommy Baldwin one of my boyhood hero’s, when my dad bought my yellow Chelsea shirt from Blunstones sport shop when I was 11 when I ran out in the playground the following morning I was Tommy, a sad day today for me RIP Tommy
RIP Tommy ,@Barry Haynes i still have my old Chelsea autograph book with his Osgood Hutchinson etc autographs spent many a day down the old Chelsea training ground ( Mitcham) i mainly bought my footy shirts from the sports shop in Tooting Market
I know what you mean. I was Eval Kenevil on my Raleigh Chopper, when I had my Eval Kneival T shirt on.
We used to cycle to Tooting a mitcham ground to watch Ossie and the boys train , we used to stop on the way home on figgs marsh and play football on the pitches and pretend we were scoring a goal at the shed end , happy memories
That sports shop was superb, I bought my first pair of gola boots and Peter Bonetti gloves from there and paid it off at 2 shillings a week
Sorry to hear about the death of your hero @Barry Haynes - I don't remember Tommy but I felt the same way as you when my hero Roger Hunt died a few years ago. RIP
