    A real guitar great, big fan of Django and from what I remember from the BBC documentary about him, a thoroughly modest bloke with a good sense of humour :(

    The guitar is not technically ancient, but the music he’s playing I guess would have been played on ancient instruments like lutes. So to the ear it’s ancient

    Julian Bream did play the lute as well, and the baroque guitar. But he could play jazz too.
