RIP George Cohen

I have just noticed the one of the heroes of the 1966 World Cup winning team, George Cohen died on December 23rd - aged 83. He was one of the quieter, less well known members of the squad. He was a right back who George Best described as one of the most difficult to play against (even if he did play for Fulham) . RIP George.

 

Apparently he played the full 90 minutes in all of the England games throughout the competition.
