    Just heard on the news Davy Jones of The Monkees has passed away aged only 65, happy childhood memories of the show RIP

  8. Damm thats not fair, met the guy once when he lived in Forest Row, really nice chap if a little on the short side.
    My thoughts go out to all his close friends and family.
     
  9. RIP Davy, as above used to watch banana splits and the monkeys , daydream believer always sticks when you say the monkeys. :(

    having been born in 74, i watched the banana splits too, but for years i thought i just imagined it, as they never repeated them

  13. OMG - makes me feel at bit old - we love the Monkee's -it's our Holiday CD in the Bus :'( Thanks Davy - sweet voice - you make us smile ;)

    Without the Monkees I doubt our van would be called Sleepy Jean.
     
  17. My best friend from High school went backstage at a Monkeys gig - she has a pair of jeans signed on one cheek by Peter Tork and one by Davey Jones (and I think she snogged him) ::)

  18. That's sad. I really liked Davy. Use to love watching the Monkees re-runs in the 70s. And when seeing him on TV over the last couple of years he still looked cool.
