yeah, part of me wishes i'd planned better but as it's free it doesn't matter - i can adapt as i go and then have a great template eventually once i know what works.... just need to make these cupboards work with the bed down....

That's pretty much how mine came about, except I didn't have my own kitchen cabinet factory to play in.

What options are there? Draws in the top half maybe? Or drop down cupboards?

I've found draws to be the most useful way.

split vertical doors on the front one would allow access but there won't be much in there, split horizontal on the rear one maybe.... to be fair what do i need to go in the cupboard for when in bed? the tea stuff is usually in the awning, there is also plenty of worktop to leave stuff out if we wanted something in the night like a snack or drink, i think the bigger problem is the single cupboard you cant access unless the bed is down.

Today i've cleaned the van for the 1st time, i've washed it before but this is the first time i've used product and elbow grease, i'm fairly pleased, once the weather starts getting better i'm looking forward to putting a real good waxing on it.

Ohhh shiny, how much did vanhaus pay you to advertise their business? If the answer is nothing then I'd have that sticker straight off and in the bin,

I should get an "animal" or "monster" or "quicksilver" to be a real t5'er I guess.

That's entirely up to you but just assuming it's ok for them to put advertising sticker on for free is taking the *******. When I had my tuition car wrapped for the business the guy wanted to put his details on the car as well so we came to an agreement that he paid for the first big service on the car.

I don't mind tbh, vanhaus did the conversion of roof and windows it's only like having a devon/westfalia sticker.

I'd got 39.6 ages ago but without trying I've done 40+ mpg....
I guess the traffic just fell right last week 'cos I don't recall driving any slower, although from a few weeks before with roadworks and frost the difference is high.
Red is lowest mpg green highest.

  12. What app you using for that MPG @rickyrooo1 ? T5 looking good

Do you think I should get that for my van, or would it be too scary?

I had it on my bay - got 12mpg one time...... average was 18mpg.
I preferred to say "smiles" per gallon in the bay......
The difference here is this is my daily driver so it counts, I fill up every Monday so I've always got between 1/2 and full tank depending how the week goes - it doesn't seem as bad doing it that way.
The Golf used to return around 50 mpg and the bay around 18/20 so I used to add them together as an offset and divide by 2 and that made around 35 mpg, the average on the T5 is around that but obviously I've only got one set of tax and insurance and repair costs.

Yeah, I thought so, FAR too scary to know for sure. I think I prefer happy ignorance of the fuel consumption otherwise I'll start working out how much it costs to get somewhere and not bother going.
A very rough idea of my trip in the summer is between 3 and 4000 miles so best I don't know the cost at all.

that's why the running joke with me was "he's always in wales" to be fair anything over 100 miles from home was eating into the holiday fund way too much, by the time i'd done the trip down ran around for the holiday and come home you'd easily spend £100 on petrol in the bay.... i am hoping we branch out a lot more this year, i'd like to tour about more but mrs roo likes to make camp and stay, i deffo want to go back up to yorkshire and down to devon, mrs roo wants to go over to great yarmouth for a look, all these things are a lot more possible now.

Less than £1k, I think that's OK, I could spend that on fuel very quickly without going anywhere nice at all.

When we used to drive back from Spain we reckoned about 450 euros one way :)
