Bought this of Hailfrank /iggle piggle or whatever he is called this week > 54 plate Mk5 golf 1.9 Tdi in Metallic blue This is the most reliable Car I have owned and is my daily, but I am looking for a T4/5 transporter to use as a daily and camping whilst my vw bay window undergoes some work. Taxed until the end of May 2013 and Mot'd until 13th December 2012 Mileage is at just over 143000 on the clock (this will go up as is used daily). I bought this Car in January at approx 138000 miles on the clock. New clutch and dual mass flywheel at cost of £840 done in January, this was done at 138921 miles I have the receipt for this. serviced in January- included Glow plugs , new oil, fuel filter, oil filter, air filter and cabin filter- this was a self service and I have receipts for parts £75.95. Ive had a new tyre put on due to a puncture and another puncture repaired with Kwik fit £90 in total and receipts kept. I use this car to travel 20 miles per day to the train station and back and then to and from London about twice per month at 200 miles round trip without issue or bother. I've had the car plugged in both when I bought it and recently , there are no codes or warning lights. Rear parking sensors. Automatic light function. Automatic wiper functions. ISOFIX There are a couple of light scuffs the worst of which are in the pictures. The hooks for the chords that attach the parcel shelf to the boot have snapped on both sides, and is how I bought the car. The car starts from cold perfectly, but takes a few seconds when warm. I have the vw service book and its very patchy. The last stamp in the book is 7/4/2010- mileage isn't listed in the book nor is the work. The previous keeper, who only had the car for a short time, and is an acquaintance- advised me that the cam belt was done in 2010. I have no proof of this. Before this the book has a few updates- the last proper one being 2006 ! Other than the clutch and fly wheel going on me during the crappy snow, she has been absolutely brilliant- in fact the best I've owned second only to my epic split . Just looking at a T4 more than anything else to accommodate other camping needs, whilst the bay is still being worked on.
I took the car to be cleaned on7/7/12 , and noticed when i got the car home that the lacquer has peeled on the bonnet and bumper during the clean - It goes into the body shop on 9/7 to be sorted.
