Removing oil From Hands

  1. After our nigthmare trip home in Cornwall, (clutch issues), we stoped at friends in Bude.

I arrived there with oily hands from adjusting clutch cable and was offered fairy liquid and sugar to clean up. Works an absolute treat. All oil and grease comes straight off. Never knew this before.

My mate used to work in the garage trade so he obviously got the tip then.

  2. Also soap made with coffee grounds and home made sugar scrub works for those who are allergic to washing up liquid

Head and shoulders is also very effective, and is also the best at getting grime out of your hair.

  4. Nothing comes near to Swarfega for getting the oiliest and grimiest hands spotless in the min. of time and it does not hurt even delicate skin. But my latest discovery is baby wipes. Magic! I keep some in the bus now just in case.

washing powder or washing up liquid with sugar in is a pikey swarfega substitute, makes your hands sore tho.

Any good soap and something gritty will work.

I keep a few pairs of surgical gloves in in the van. >:D
