  1. i have a hub cap puller and wanted to take them off today to get them cleaned and protected for the winter as they're original ones but not matter how hard i pull, they aren't shifting!
    is there a knack?

Try the other holes on the opposite side of the hubcap.

  3. Stick a big screw driver thru the puller when its in the two small holes round outside as birdy says then lever against tyre and it should pop off ;)

  4. thanks chaps, off to give it another go.
yes, leverage would be good as it hurts my hands :'(

the correct way to use the hub cap puller is to put the dealer supplied wheel brace through the hole to lever it off :)

  7. have tried with a screw driver and no joy, nearly pulled my arms out of their sockets tho' and bent the puller thing.

will try another time with a bigger lever wotsit. i suspect the problem is lack of physical strength. bugger.
