Jesus, been away from the forum for a bit and I log back in and see this! Totally decking marvellous! I like me ska/reggae but I've got three days worth of tracks to listen to that I don't know!
One of the things that I love about reggae is that it addresses social problems head on with a positive view or just sings about them. There are hundreds of songs tut-tutting rude boys, gun crime, and yes even pro womens rights despite it's misogynist reputation. Songs advising you not to take coke and crack, it's endless. There is often little atempt to be "cool". It's open and honest music, I love it.
