they are one of the things in life that if you mention always brings happy memories.

respect to them for bringing happiness to so many and sorry it's brought such sadness to those they knew

I obviously don't know the chap that died but I love the Red Arrows, and if he's ever been in a display that I watched then I thank him, they make me proud of Britain.

2 occasions that stand out for me, one at IOW festival and when on Nine Barrows Down in Dorset when they displayed over Swanage.

On a slightly selfish note I really hope this doesn't effect the existence of the Red Arrows as a whole.

Only just read about this accident, sad to hear such news, The Red Arrows always put on such a great display, we used to watch them fly over Crich when they did a fly past for the tramway museum.

has anymore been released on if it was a fault in th plane itself? i doubt it will mean the end to the red arrows, unfortunately there have been fatalities before and they didn't disband through that.

  7. We were very lucky to see then in Fowey, 2 days before this incident happened, and they were absolutely amazing. Hadnt seen them since I was a kid, but their display was just breathtaking. It was actually a fellow campervan owner at a campsite in Somerset, en route home from Cornwall, who told us the news, as we'd seen a sign nr the campsite saying they were performing in the area later that day, and were saying how brilliant they had been - all very sad indeed.
