Hi All I recently bought my first VW bus - a T2 1973 Californian Import. She seems pretty solid with only signs of rust on the sills and roof where a roof rack used to be. There are a couple of dings to sort out on the rear too. I'd like to get her tidied up with a respray to stop the rust spots getting worse and bring her back to her former glory. 8) Does anyone know of a recommended respray shop within an hour or so's drive of Uxbridge? I'd be willing to go a little further if the quality/price is right! What should I be looking at paying with not too much prep to be done before the respray? Many thanks Buzz
its impossible to price so think thousands rather than hundreds of pounds you will find a lot of body shops wont even take on the job so find a decent independent guy that will do it. it may pay to avoid specialists as they seem to be more expensive for a lower quality of finish budget for new window and door seals and set off your new paint with new light lenses and number plates maybe look for a local vw club and ask on there too
