That would work but I was replacing the fuel lines at the same time so they had to come off at the tank outlet.
Easy enough with an empty tank, if you want to do it at TE remind me and I'll bring a Jerry can and a spare electric pump to empty your tank.
Manual, unfortunately. It’s the electric bits that always worry me, .....although hacking into fuel lines probably does too!
Just bring fresh fuel lines a fresh filter and we can change the lot. Energizing a spare leccy pump off a battery and into a can works fine, as long as the fuel tank is on low.
Potentially, need some more fuel hose as its likely you have to change the routing slightly , some wire, an inline fuseholder and decide where to power it from. Cable ties to fix the valve somewhere.
@scrooge95 Some hook up wire, I have plenty, some sheething to protect the wire, again I have plenty and some spade connectors, I should have those too PS. A micro blade fuse holder and fuse are a nice solution, smaller than full ATOF size.
If you want to avoid relay type shenanigans just take a feed off the coil + the one the black wire from the ignition goes to. Opens shut off valve while ignition on. Or add a switch if it's security you're after.. just need to remember the switch is there.. I forget we have a push button start all the time and wonder why the key isn't working Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
@Tracey Wacey - apologies for the slight thread hijack with fuel cut off solenoids - but it is another security addition. Didn't see where you are based, but if you can get yourself and the new T2 along to Techenders (see separate thread: it's a technical / social meet up near Lutterworth in September) we could do a kind of 'two for one' on fitting a fuel cut off solenoid, and have a look at your gear selection issues at the same time. Ask for help in advance on the Techenders thread, and also find out what parts etc you need to bring.... it's a great weekend, very social, good chance to put faces and real names to forum names, and a bit of tinkering on your van with lots of knowledgeable people around to help out. Edit: I did see where you are based - Somerset. Easy hop up to Leicestershire, definitely worth it
Battery cut off (take the screw off part with you) steering wheel Crooklock, TWO wheel clamps,( locking wheel nuts stops the jacking up and fitting spare wheel), dummy led alarm light, anti theft peddle lock. All of these are quite cheap to buy and require no fitting via old wiring. Trackers work until the internal battery goes flat (a few days). If parked outside on a concrete drive a lockable post infront or behind could also be a idea.
