46 days so I don't think my fridge will hold enough to last me. I've already got to find space to pack all three of my spare T shirts and both my spare pairs of shreddies (that's pants to non RAF types)
we tend to have a freezer full of leftovers - make a curry for 4 - me and her have 2 separate meals - or if theres just curry sauce left - freeze - then have on fish and chips
For a quick one pan meal we do our version of a Spanish Omelette. Olive oil in a frying pan (non stick) - put on high heat. Chop up onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, peppers , garlic or other veg you may have lying around. Chuck chopped veg into hot oil - fry for a few minutes Beat up 2 or 3 eggs - add pepper put in with veg - cook for 3 or 4 minutes or until done on one side - turn it over for a minute or two - serve and consume immediately
I,ve done the math and it should be just possible to fit 46 Vesta Paella,s under the R n R bed, dont take the chow meins because you will need a trailer for the oil .
Bananas and custard. Take plenty of the macro ready made stuff. Bananas are readily accessible all over the place.
Light a fire or BBQ every night where you can. Buy local veg, carrots, squashes. Etc. Put them separately in tinfoil with olive oil and herbs, sit by glowing embers whilst turning and adjusting. Eat when roasted. Roast seeds and nuts over fire, dry. Add these to salad to go with above. Add berries, small fruit,,garlic whatever. Keep a jar for salad dressing, make it yourself, oil plus nice vinegar plus whatever you got, mustard, honey etc. Add this to salad. when in France eat fibre. Whatever you do, burn some stuff. Don't rely on the camping gas......... (I'm a sponsor now, so i can can plug my rocket stove burny things without guilt www.ecozoom-uk.com
If you like lemon and salad... Cook pasta and pour lemon (jif lemon is fine if you don't have fresh) on the pasta while it is hot, I usually put rocket, red pepper, and either friend mushrooms or griddled courgette with this, you could also add chunks of chicken (buy them already cooked if you don't want to cook them). poached egg on toast/ on pasta Spaghetti/noodles with chilli prawns - cook spaghetti/noodles, heat frying pan, chuck in chopped onion if you want it, add garlic and chilli flakes, fry gently while cooking the pasta, chuck the prawns in the frying pan with the other stuff, fry for 2 mins max add sweet chilli sauce and coat the prawns in it and serve. If you want extra points chop some coriander and throw it on once it's on the plate. Stir fry in a frying pan - you can buy the stuff pre chopped add a sauce and noodles (for about 3 quid in a supermarket) and you only need 1 pan. Spaghetti bolognaise - don't get too fancy, only needs 2 pans. Chilli con carne Curry, with rice, etc (use patak's sauces)
Will try next week, Ecozoom (with free power ring (thanks Stew) + Cobb, should be able to cook most stuff with these gas free.... Maybe gas for first brew of the morning though.................. Packing to travel to the "F" place tomorrow

It's a fairly typical TLB thread, lots of humorous/daft replies (@various), mixed in with very useful contributions (@cunny44 and @nicktuft and @stewart kombi and @surfgir1 and @mgbman ).
