I there peeps , just wandering if you can do the inner rear wheel bearings without taking off all the brake pipe connections and taking off the bearing housing . Hoping it passes the MOT 2 weeks time .

  2. Yes it’s all quite easy . I used a series of turned big washers and a bit of 10/ 12 mm threaded bar and maybe a big socket . You will also need big circlip pliers

thought it would be possible ...just Bentley manual seems to state the housing needs to be off and pressed in with a press .
Just checking on here as i have seen some footage on doing it in situ on a T25 .

  4. Did mine in situ, or at least one side as the other was fine after the garage declined to do them suggesting it needed to go to a Commercial workshop as they didnt have the kit. Really! Couple of hours job, as per usual it all depends on whether the hub nut moves for you.

I had a stubborn hub nut that wouldn't budge yesterday. I very carefully ground it down almost to the threads on one side with an angle grinder and then it shifted with the socket. Careful not to touch the threads or the hub itself. The heat and the thin amount of nut left meant it had to give in!
New nuts are cheap enough from the usual suspects.

One thing is the inner bearing may be held in by the big circlip and a ring of rust between the circlip and freedom . A bit of scraping may be needed.
Dont forget the "sharp" edge of the circlip goes towards the gearbox by preference.
