Rear seat belts. Any recommendations? Suitable for children too.

  1. Hello. Can anyone recommend any seat belts for the back seats please? I guess they can only be 2-point belts, but I'd like them to be suitable for a baby's seat, child seat and booster seat, as well as adults.

Depending on your rear seat setup you can have 3 points.

  4. depending on the kind of seat base you have I would say that the rear bench seat will likely be unsuitable for a baby seat as the seat squab will be too soft. You should maybe seek some proper expert advise too - its one of those subjects that often comes up on here and you'll see some real horror story solutions...

For 3 point I have these fitted. They are factory items which I believe were fitted to Swedish Microbuses? I may be wrong. The issue I have with these now is that because the seat back is so thick and plush its getting more difficult for the kids to get the belt around them because they have grown up so much. I can just get the belt on but it leaves me with no movement. Not an issue for me as i'm never a passenger.

I'm looking at ways that I can replace the webbing - failing that i'll use a short extender

  5. Can anyone recommend some 3-point belts for the back please (to fit around a Helsinki full width seat)? Seems my bus has already got the captive nuts under the rear windows.

  6. any of the main suppliers like JK or Heritage have inertia reel belts. They tend to be single mounts at the back, so the reel mounts directly to the window frame. It seems that is the only suitable compromise to a factory belt
