Rear seat belt mounts??

Discussion in 'Camper Conversions' started by Furyblade_Lee, Mar 9, 2015.

  1. Has anyone got some pictures of the correct factory seat belt mounting points in the back of a bay? I seem to have four threads built into the middle of the engine bulkhead but no outer ones? Well, I do but just one and that us just a home drilled into one rear wheel arch... I am sure I need two outer mounts welded in, it's just where. I will be using a full width rock n roll bed it's 3 seatbelts I have two threads already welded into the rear sides , they look factory. Can anyone help me site two outer ones? Thanks, Lee

  4. Yes that's helpful. I need sonething to mount the inertia reel to, when I got my van it was just bolted to the rear wheel arch. Think those brackets are what I need, but I noticed the words "uber rare" so I assume they cannot be bought any more?

  8. David could you just clarify for me, I have this one already in the back for the nearside . I need one for the offside. But I an not happy with the way it just had a bolt going through the rear wheel arch with a washer . Do I need to weld a mounting plate into the wheel arch or the bulkhead just above ?

you should have a welded captive nut on a thicker 2mm plate on the wheel arch

  10. That's what I wanted to know mate, cheers. Have a few left my race car build. I just saw a sketch in a JK campers brochure, showed outside mounts on the bulkhead. It confused me!!
