Plan on cutting part of arch and refitting new panel but how can I make best of previous joint lines. Sent from my SM-A405FN using Tapatalk
If your original panel lines are good, I left 10mm of the original panel on and cut the replacement to suit, gives you factory lines, hope this helps
Here's a link to a video that shows what adrian1975 describes on the very panel your changing , you may need to go back a video or two in the series to see the removal and fitting to completion , I watched it just last night so there's a coincidence . The chaps whole series of videos are just a pleasure to watch
It's already had a full repair panel fitted like the one you have, you can see where it changes. Pretty hard to hide, the bend into the join on the repro panels isn't as tight as the originals.
Agreed but how can I get around this and make a clear clean line on joint. Any tips or tricks or the trade. Sent from my SM-A405FN using Tapatalk
Not really other obvious things like line the seam up as best you can looking from all angles and don't weld in the seam on the outside.
Coincidentally, I subscribed to this yesterday and am finding it very informative and entertaining... excellent stuff!! Sent from my SM-T813 using Tapatalk
He has a soothing style about him, sometimes unsure what to do but at least he admits it. A great series of videos
