Rear Of The Year - TLB

I love the rear of my bay but reckon being able to see the exhaust on the type 4 lets it down. Looks a bit tattie.
Is there any way of hiding it or am I just being fickle?

Yes there is a skirt

It fits on the bottom of the bum per.
It was a standard feature for my van.
Sorry no pics tonight, can do tomorrow if you want.

On my old bay the towbar hid a bit

Yes the type 1 engine exhausts look puny in comparison.

 

Paint it with black exhaust paint.

 

Have a stack coming out at the side front like the landy freaks .

 

I did think about that. Just replaced the tail pipe so it would finish it off nicely. Getting tow bar electrics wired up on Thursday so I'll check it out then.

 

It does pretty well disappear if you do, you might have to top it up now and again but you only have to paint one side so it's easy while it's on the bus.

Spray or brush on?

 

My exhaust on my type 4 was on full show looked pretty naff tbh, especially as it was rusty. I had the van lowered a bit and a new vintage speed exhaust fitted, it is barely visible now apart from a "menacing" twin pipe sticking out! Definitely a sheep in wolfs clothes though!!
