Some nob head was walking along Kilve beach today and found a unexplored ww2 bomb, instead of leaving and phoning the Rozzers they handed it into Bridgwater police stn, this involved a rather bumpy 20 mile drive So now half our town is closed off, wifes works for the council and been sent home early. View across brewery field near my house. Never known it so quiet. Funny cos one of my sons asked me a few weeks ago when we was walking there asked the question what happens if you find a bomb.
we had this happen local to me, a bloke had upset some travellers so they started making small bombs and placing them on his doorstep in various large fruits, he finally got sick of it and the lack of interest from the police and placed a the latest one(a watermelon)in the back of his van and drove it to the local police station, put it in their car park and walked in to tell them what he'd done. cue mass evacuation and me sitting in my fire engine for hours just outside the town while the bomb squad arrive
Blimey, how big is the bomb!? just looks like a very large area taped off! and now i've got a proper comedy moment in my head of a numpty rolling a heavy bomb along to the back of his car and dropping it a couple of times trying to get it in the boot

I reckon he takes it on on a sack truck asking I found a bomb where do you want here or out the front. Just imaging the look on the face of the person behind the counter. They say ww2 but we get a lot of training missiles washed up around here small blue hard plastic ones.
a few years a go an IRA punishment beating squad went out to do a few beating break a few legs and knee capping , but they dropped ome of the base ball bats , ???? it was duely retrieved by the psni and took back to the station for the forensics to do there stuff , it was put in an office for safe keeping 10 mins later it blew the office to bits , it was hollowed out and filled with a timer and semtex , owen nw
