Hi everyone. I finally got a chance to finish the designs. Its best viewed in a pdf so you can go through the pages easier and at a higher resolution. The way they have been designed makes them able to go up to billboard size if needed without loosing any quality at all obviously these are just lower res visuals here. Design 1 http://www.deanbutlerdesign.co.uk/Other/TLB40/PDFs/TLB40_Design01.pdf Design 2 http://www.deanbutlerdesign.co.uk/Other/TLB40/PDFs/TLB40_Design02.pdf I will post them separately in a minute. http://www.deanbutlerdesign.co.uk/home.html
ok just a thought and shout at me if you like. the change occured in 72 with crossovers although they started making high front indicators in 72 ready for 73 model so we are right with the 40 years whichever way we go. we have a display at camperjam next year too should the image be of front or rear of the bus? if it's about the square vents and high rear lights it should be of the rear. if it's about the start of the 73 model it should be the front. just want to get story straight when the pipe and slipper brigade ask and i'm loving the designs
Excuse the pipe and slippers however I am still struggling with 1972 - 2012 years being included in that way as the T2 history is; (as liberated from another website) In late 1967, the second generation of the Volkswagen Type 2 (T2) was introduced. It was built in Germany until 1979. In Mexico, the Volkswagen Combi and Panel were produced from 1970 to 1994. Models before 1971 are often called the T2a (or "prototype bay"), while models after 1972 are called the T2b (or "Late Bay"). So born between 1972 - 1979 may be more acceptable Perhaps it is just me however when I stick something on my bus in 2014 to mark its 40th birthday it will need to be relevant to 1974 or 2014
So 'born in the 70's, and rusting eer since' might be a more apt phrase then. Or even, 'I'm 40, maybe...I can't remember...'
some luvley designs still got a couple more to come but a vw mag has asked me to do 4 pages or so of work each issue now reviews of stuff and the likes so i was buisy partying and that and now recovering LOL! eep!....might sneak a review of the late bay club in a whole page on us
