I took the day off today and had my van put on a rolling road. Worth every penny and a very interesting few hours. I took it to Wilshires garage Wimpole as recommended by Tilly (TLB). The guy there was happy for me to ask all the stupid questions I liked and even had me swapping my own jets. The idea was to get it running as efficiently as possible and try to up the mpg a little. When we first hooked it up there was so much fuel coming out the exhaust it was off the scale on his machine. A few hours later it was giving readings that would get it through a modern emissions test (I think). It's not all about the BHP but have a guess at what it was? It's a type 4, with a Web 86 camshaft and twin 40 dells. The rest is standard type 4. I'll post all the figures later and perhaps someone can explain them again! ???
No way is that with a standard exhaust? I cant get my head around that at all i would have thought larger valves and worked heads and a freeer flowing exhaust to achieve that Whats the torque figure?
A couple of screen shots. He did explain all the data, but it may not of all been absorbed. If someone could go through the numbers again, I would be grateful.
Did he give you a graph printout at the end dude? Thats a very good figure youve achieved im just shocked
