Pushrod Retaining Clips

  1. Hi I have two engines and only one came with the above , do all Type4 2.0 GE and GD engines have push rod retraining clips?

    asking for a friend

    Yes. Tell your friend the pushrod tubes are free to float, if the retaining clips are missing the tubes could walk out of the head and crankcase. The clips push the tubes into the crankcase and they are free to move in the head – one reason why you should use oil, not sealant on the O-rings. All type 4 engines should have them, the code doesn’t matter nor does the capacity.
