Seen that baggie. Can't make out the wiring route from lt on my phone. Can someone read it for me please? .?

  4. When you say you haven't a thermostat, you mean you haven't the Propex Thermosat/control box ?

The four wires from the heater unit should be Red : 12v Positive, Black : Earth or Ground, the bluey/purple wire goes to terminal 1 and Orange goes to terminal 4 on the propex control box..

If you're missing the control box, I assume the bluey wire and orange wires are just a swtiched live, that the thermostat interupts..

your right , i ran it up tooday by connecting neg to earth ( black ) live ( red ) to a live , then touched the orange thermo wire to live , the purple is as you say a continuation for the thermostat ,

Thanks again , and the upshot is its not fitted and working , just popping to maplins to get a thermostatic switch if they have one

  6. Have you pics of the how and where you've fitted it PT? i've just got a new one and am looking for inspiration, and where to site the exhaust so i dont poison us in our sleep :)

  7. sorry Malc - I had a diagram for it somewhere I should have given you. MH - mine was in a westy continental and went under the side seat

  8. I'm wondering about plumbing the hot air into the vents under the walkthrough and using the lever on the flaps there (yes there appears to be flaps there) to duct it up to the cab if needs be?

  12. I'm pulling together bits to plumb my propex into the existing ducting.
got a y junction with a flap that directs to on branch or other. This will be front or back.

  13. I have a Propex heater however the thermostat is not working corectly unless it is on max. I noticed Poptop2 said they were going to maplins for a thermostat, has anyone fitted a non propex stat. If so what wires went where? Thanks

  15. Cheers, but the $100 question is how to wire it, the power should be straight forward but what about the other wires?

  18. Be aware some plastic bodied bilge blowers will melt ! Theyre designed to move cold air only.
