That’s the least of your worries with that , go and price up rear corners, battery trays and rear arches , around £2k last time I looked, I sold my bay tipper because it wasn’t worth me restoring
"Ready to go"? Can I use that in an advert? Can it really be two years?! When we arrange a meet and collect/deliver I'll suddenly find the time to use it
Slightly different, but these two, included purchase, has cost me about 3 grand, to get on the road. Did everything myself, must have saved at least that!
@JamesLey ... "Rust free" "Fully insulated" "Turnkey engine" "Aspirational stable mate. Never been lonely".
I did actually message the guy to say to contact me if it didn’t sell! Doubtful I’d buy it but you never know. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Get your wallet out for drop sides. I wouldn't bother, they have lots of odd hard to find parts and are not worth much when finished. Find something RHD with a poptop and you might get your money back minus all the labour.
I guess there's a market but count me out, they're useless things really as having restored you wouldn't want to shovel rubble in and out etc so what do you do with it other than maintain it and pick up your Christmas tree?
I suggest you are the one in a hundred that use them for more than token trips once in a blue moon. I used to think these and dokas were rare, but they're everywhere! I almost get the doka appeal but I think most people sell them on after a few years without really using them
My crewcab is my only car - so as far as possible it has to be a rolling resto. My wife has a Prius so you see - I have no real choice. I use a motorbike to get to work but if I have to drive anywhere - it’s the crewie. It’s most useful feature is it’s ability to make me smile Stirlingmoz
